Grants from the Gila Native Plant Society are available to organizations and individuals in the Southwest New Mexico area. Projects should benefit the community and must align with the Mission Statement of the Society.
Mission Statement: The purpose of the organization is 1) to promote education, research and appreciation of the native flora of the Southwest; 2) encourage the preservation of rare and endangered plant species and the communities in which these species occur; 3) support the use of suitable native plants in landscaping to create habitat and conserve water while at the same time preserving New Mexico’s unique character.
Generally, amounts are limited to $1000.
Grant requests are reviewed as they are received. The applicant will be notified of the outcome of the grant review within 2 months of the date they submitted their proposal.
The GNPS President will appoint a committee to review applications and bring recommendations before the Board.

Questions regarding the filing may be addressed to GNPS President. Requests for funds which are not grants, such as sponsorships, shall be reviewed at regular quarterly Board meetings.
